herb for treating blood fats - Blood fat consists of triglycerides and cholesterol. Cholesterol is a fat-like substance (lipid) that is present in cell membranes and are precursors of bile acids and steroid hormones. Cholesterol in the blood circulation bound to lipoproteins. There are two kinds of lipoproteins, namely High Density lipoprotein (HDL), known as good cholesterol and Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL), known as bad cholesterol. LDL carries cholesterol from the liver to body parts that need while HDL carries excess cholesterol in the blood to the liver for reprocessing. In addition there are further called triglycerides that excess calories are stored in fat cells in the Blood fat. Normal levels of triglycerides in the body is very necessary. Total cholesterol LDL contains 60-70%, 20-30% and 10-15% of triglycerides HDL.
In normal levels, cholesterol is needed by the body for the growth of brain and nerve tissue, formation of body cells, as well as a precursor to the formation of bile acids and steroid hormones. However, if the amount of excess LDL and triglycerides, lipoprotein then it will stick to the walls of coronary arteries and can lead to plaques known as atherosclerosis plaque. Hypercholesterolemia patients with atherosclerosis have a higher risk of cardiovascular disease.
To assess whether someone high cholesterol levels or low, NCEP ATP III (National Cholesterol Education Program Adult Treatment Panel III) stipulate cholesterol numbers as the table below.

High cholesterol is mainly due to an unhealthy lifestyle such as obesity, smoking, lack of exercise, lack of fiber foods and plenty of eating foods high in saturated fat.
In general, people do not realize that cholesterol levels increase because there are no specific symptoms. However, some of the symptoms that are sometimes perceived as aching body, especially in the neck and tingling.
In lowering cholesterol levels, changes in lifestyle and diet should be low in fat, increased exercise, emphasis on eating fruits, vegetables and fibrous foods, avoid foods with saturated fat, sleep enough (about 8 hours a day). In obese patients, weight loss should be lowered. The intake of alcohol and tobacco consumption must be stopped. Drug therapy is given for severe cases as directed.
